Sno-bees has four runs. We do these all two times a week and
usually do Groton a third time (Saturday-night). We are
going to try to do the Lobster Pot three times as much as we can (lack of snow).
The average miles per hour of groomer is 5 (five) not
counting removal of branches, trees or replacing signs -- so
you can see each run is 6-9 hours.
We will roll one or two times and then use the
drag. We have four regular drivers (Dave Watson, Wayne
Pelkey, Tim Stone, and
Jim Rogers (Mr. Saturday night special!) Last year we groomed
approximately 3000 miles, and the year before we did (3700).
We
are the only Washington County club that grooms with a 10'
drag - our roll is 8'6, and the drag weighs about 3500 pounds
without snow in it!
