TRAILS

The Sno Bees 59 miles of trails are some of the most scenic with variations of terrain from valley to hills to mountainous grades. Located in central Vermont, it is the hub of trails that go north, south, east and west allowing a daily ride of an easy 100 plus miles in each direction and return to your lodging.

Our club trail system starts at the Barre-Montpelier road, with many services of food, fuel and lodging, at the 150 foot railroad bridge and travels on corridor 12/14 N to a panoramic ridge 4 miles away where a stop will enable a view of  The Golden Dome of our state capitol, Camel's Hump 25 miles to the west, and the volcano peak of Spruce Mountain 20 miles to the east beckoning you to the Groton State Forest. Corridor 12/14 continues northeast where 12 splits to west and 14 continues to 302 and on to Sno Bees headquarters. From there, you can take scenic trails south along an old road where the oxen pulled granite blocks 150 years ago from the Cobble Hill Quarry to Montpelier for construction of the State capitol building. Groomer Continuation will take you to our 150 ft suspension bridge and the Dug Out Restaurant; beyond to the famous Barre Granite Quarries and food, fuel by trail of adjoining club "Thunderchickens" Corridor 302 with side trails over East Barre Dam and to Washington food/fuel or to Orange vistas. 302 continues up and over Butterfield mountain (where you are apt to see deer, moose and wild turkeys) to the Groton State Forest snowmobile parking lot.  For fantastic views, great trails, excellent services the Sno Bees trail system offers it all. And after a day in the fresh air, there are some interesting night life entertainment spots in downtown Barre.

Ride safe, enjoy the views, have fun with your friends and wave to other snowmobilers on the trail!

Volunteers out working on the trails to get ready for the season (2006)!
